There's an evaporation of the human soul taking place in most parts of the developed world (and even parts undeveloped). It's a unique kind of slavery where the "individual" is under the illusion of freedom but really might as well be one of the enslaved masses like the workers who built the pyramids of Egypt. There's a void missing in everyone's life and people try filling it with consumer goods such as that new car, a new electronic gadget that fits in your pocket, or with the lives of other higher born people know as celebrities. Meanwhile the willpower is being sucked daily with crushing routines inside of cubicles, taking orders from a boss that is half as competent as you are, and working for CEOs who jet set around the worlds taking parts in galas and festivities while your hard efforts help line their pockets.
I am talking about the Corporate World. The Corporate World is soul crushing environment that no self respecting person should strive to be a part of.
People often get thrown the words "team player" or "team oriented" describing the common good of the company over individual happiness. The person most likely to accept this rhetoric without thought are the common masses or whom I like to fondly refer to as "The Sheep." The entire Corporate World is for The Sheep. Starting from the CEO's, down to the middle managers, and all the way down to mail room, in these corporations you can find Sheeple.
These are the people who have no differentiation from the herd. One person's features are interchangeable with the other's. They might as well be Legos or cogs. None really has the capacity to truly think for themselves. Most times they are told what to think and once told adopt the thought as if it had sprung from their own gray matter. It's no wonder that employers often threaten that there's a line available for the employee's position. None of these people really stand out anywhere.
Working within the system of the Corporate World benefits the few while it makes slaves out of the masses. In many instances the owners of these corporations and executives have ties to government officials. As a matter of fact, it's their entire lifeline. Personally I have worked for a company where the CEO knew Barack Obama and the owner was good friends with Mitt Romney. It is not entirely crazy to think that their was some kind of behind the scenes business deal taking place with both of these politicians.
Walk into any corporate environment and you will notice that the lower echelons struggle for wages, usually putting in eight to twelve hour days. In many cases you will notice the CEO, or to be correct, not notice the CEO because they are usually gone. It's not uncommon for them to take a three to five day weekend and claim it's a "business trip." For myself it is particularly discouraging because I get to hear on the news about how the CEOs in our particular industry were treating themselves to an event in Aspen skiing at the various resorts while funding it with taxpayer money. However, whether small, medium, or large you usually notice that for one special person in the company it's okay to take those five day holidays, bring your kids and pets to work, and be gone by mid-afternoon or after lunch.
In the Corporate World one is expected to give total fidelity to The Corporation. If asked in interviews one must reply that they want to work in an environment where they can grow and expand for multiple years. They must swear to forsake all individualism for the team and to be a team player. Their needs come secondary to The Corporation. However in reality these lower class worker drones are expendable. "At Will Employment" means they can be fired on the drop of a dime. That one company you have slaved for years for, in some cases decades, is now giving you marching papers and telling you to move on. They expect your best efforts, best energies, and best years and what do people usually have to show for it?
The entire prerogative of The Corporation is to maximize profits and minimize costs. Yes, this is entirely rational and not to be fully criticized but this point must be brought up to give the average person a realistic perspective on their place within the company. This means that The Corporation in most cases will be paying you the least it can get away with without having you walk off (barely) or violating some labor law. This also means that it is fairly common that not enough staff will be hired to keep a smooth machine running. More workers means paying out more wages and maybe even benefits which means less money rolling upstream into the hands of executives and owners. Most of the time this results in a work environment that is dysfunctional and lacking. People in the higher echelons do not care about how their own company is performing just that it is turning a profit. Therefore in whatever industry you can see a decline in the quality of work and even the paying customer or client is getting shafted because of this corporate model.
The Corporate World promotes collectivism and conformity. Any type of individualism here is frowned upon. Yes, some days they let loose the leash a bit and let you wear jeans on a Casual Friday, but for the most part everyone is supposed to look exactly like the other either with dress code or flat out uniforms. Have a tattoo on your ankle? Sorry, that's not going to cut it here.
Thinking at all, let alone too much, is highly prohibited. I had a former manager exclaim that it was a mistake that my boss hired me because I had a formal and traditional college education. It was evident that I might come to certain "conclusions" about how things worked and that might cause a stir. Anyone that might see through the facade of their environment is considered a threat more than an intelligent asset with something to offer. Thoughts other than the ones The Corporation prefer you to have are "negative thoughts." This rewards mediocre and non-distinct people. People who can ultimately be trained just like a dog.
Who among us actually strives to be in this kind of situation? Was it Steve Jobs? Thomas Edison? The inventors of Google? If you notice none of these types of people come from this pool of mindless and faceless drones that help support the Corporate World, yet they are titans within it. People who rail against this type of life, initially at least, become the movers and shakers of society. Most people benefit from the fruits of their labor yet lack the capacity to achieve such tremendous heights, and it all can lead back to this docile proletariat mindset that The Corporation fosters upon people. Steve Jobs did not come about because he decided to spend eight hours a day in a cubicle taking a pile of crap from some less talented and worthy middle manager.
The Corporate World is soul crushing in that it dampens the spirits. Suddenly your life, time, and loyalties are not your own. If one steps back to look at the bigger picture it's obvious that the majority of people are drones to be treated like numbers, and that the people on top get the benefits such as extra time, extravagant trips and adventures, and the freedom that comes from wealth. It's time to wake up and demand more control and power in your life.

America Be Stupid
Why are Americans so stupid?
The ignorant common masses care more about the Kardashians or the VMAs than whether or not their own currency is being debased.
They keep having unplanned children as if we did not live in the 21st Century and have condoms available. They do not even realize that some child is going to have to make their children's clothes in a sweatshop half a world away just so that their kid can end up a fat, brain-dead, corporate slogan repeating troglodyte. Not to mention that their children will be expected to pay off this enormous debt being amassed from gallivanting military conquests all over the globe.
The proles keep chugging away at their shitty corporate jobs and never question if things could be any different. They lack the will to advocate for their own destiny and never realize that their taxes are going to the rich in the form of corporate welfare, bailouts, and handouts. Meanwhile the lower classes are continually being chastised for any public help they may receive, which is a problem within itself.
As long as they keep buying new shit they are happy... alas creating more debt, most people do not believe in pay as you go these days, and wind up forever an indentured servant.
The youngest in society are shipped off to fight in conflicts that have nothing to do with anyone domestically. Usually off to some third world nation where some jerkoffs can just kill brown people with a drone or missile from a safe and comfortable distance.
The United States is making it harder to obtain an education even though other countries are producing more engineers. The military is relying heavily on drones while some Chinese or other person is just going to find a way to hack them. Then the military is going to have its thumb up it's ass because it's cant find anyone in America with two brain cells to rub together to stop the problem. Good going.
The people here are so fucking fat that they have decided to stop walking and just cart themselves on electric scooters around Walmart. I mean, how pitiful is that?

The Huffington Post Sucks
The Huffington Post sucks. While touting itself as the "liberal progressive" news site on the Internet it instead just shows that it is another mindless bastion of "Infotainment." The founder, Arianna Huffington, is just an egocentric maniac concerned with her own status as a celebrity.
Although the Huffington Post would most like to see themselves as a credible news source like The Guardian or The Christian Science Monitor the truth is that they can not do this. A major reason would be the astounding amount of Infotainment garbage on their website and particularly the front page as well. In other words these are stories which are more entertaining than informative.
A sad example would be Aloya Minkovski who used to have her own provocative and hard hitting Aloyna Show on Russia Today networks. After she was recruited into the HuffPost fold she now does a lot of stuff like interview celebrities such as members of Sum 41 and Tom Green. What once was a serious journalist asking important questions now has become no more than an Entertainment Tonight type of television personality. She has since been replaced with the likes of Abby Martin and RT has been the better for it ever since. It's ironic, if you watch some old episodes of the Alonya show you can watch her criticize her future employer.
Much of HuffPost is filled with fluff articles about John Stamos, Miley Cyrus, and other celebrities. These get shown on the front place next to articles about Libya or Syria. This type of content has more in common with People Magazine or a rag like The Examiner than publications that should be taken seriously. The Huffington Post is not a serious, credible, or worthy news source and they help do their part to keep the American people braindead and sheep-like.
Let's not forget who's at the helm of this bile hauling ship. None other than Captain Arianna Huffington. Once upon a time she was married to Republican Congressman Michael Huffington and used to write articles gushing about former House Speaker Newt Gingrich praising his ideas for "compassionate conservatism." She has since had a change of heart joining Team Liberal and divorcing her Republican husband. However, she retained his last name (her maiden name is Stassinopoulos) perhaps as a way to attach herself to whatever Huffington legacy there is in the United States. Perhaps she is most famous for her run as California Governor against the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Gary Coleman, and porn star Mary Carey.
The Huffington Post has not shied away from being overly biased either. Much of their reporting seems in the same vein as the Fox News and MSNBC methods. In this way they already have a set agenda before reporting anything and only focus in on facts that could promote this agenda rather than detract from it. Both MSNBC and HuffPost seem to tow the mainstream liberal agenda line, even though lately I hear Arianna has been feigning dissatisfaction with President Barack Obama. This is opinion based news reporting and it is the bane and poison of the Mainstream News Media.
The Huffpost would like to promote themselves as part of the grassroots effort to take back the media, but this remains further from the truth. There are an estimated 6,000 unpaid bloggers, or "citizen journalists," working for the site. This is in spite of a major $315 million dollar deal in with America Online bought the Huffington Post.
In reality the HuffPost is just as corporate as NBC, CBS, or even Walmart. Their bottom line is the amount of SEO they can generate, and thus profits, and not whether their information in credible, biased, attention worthy, or even a promotion of the Progressive tenets that they supposedly hold so dear.
In 2011 you could enter into Google "What time does the Superbowl Start" and the first result would be a link from the Huffington Post. This is an easy question that can just be answered with a line from Google itself. It seems the HuffPost paid for such placement.

Their founder is a self-serving ego-maniacal opportunist who is not above marrying someone to further their own goals. They use the talents of unpaid bloggers to create the content of their site while accepting millions from giant AOL in a buyout deal. Their status in journalism should be regarded as a joke and as far as a source of alternative news media or otherwise they just SUCK.
